I did. Alot of them, and for some reason I put my sisters lipgloss on it, and strangely enough the burning stopped. I'm not joking either -.-

i thought u were gonna say you were setting ants on fire
If you get one of those huge black beetles with the big teeth thingies and u spray em with DW-40 or sumthing else flammable and set em on fire they dont die for a few seconds so you get a nice walking fireball its fun

Ugh I got showered by about fifty of them once. Just imagine being poked by a needle at random places every few seconds. Not. Very. Nice.

I used to live near Dallas, the worst place for Fire Ants. I feel your pain, I once tripped into a rather sizable colony and it wasn't pretty.

In basic training we had fire ants. Alabama in July, boy oh boy was it hot, and those things show no mercy. We found a small hill, small being about 2 feet high, and a yard across, anyway, we put a grapefruit on the top of the hill. In seconds the fruit was swarmed and sucked under... no joke. It just vanished into the mound like the hill opened up and swallowed it. Here in germany we have a variation of fire ants. I was out training in the woods for a week and our fearless LT pointed out these 6 foot high mounds. He said those are ants, and falling into one of those mounds wouldnt be good. Trouble is, we were training at night. As if the ants put up street lights to warn us or something. Needless to say, when we were done, we had some pyro left over... hehe. We lit some flares and other nasty things and threw them into a nearby hill. The hill was burning, and ants running all over, but when it was said and done, the ants didnt die. But these mounds, damn, were taller than me, and wider than a tree trunk. Thats not normal.

Never had contact with the buggers, the arrived in Brisbane a few years ago hitching a ride on a containier ship but luckily theyve been kept under control and their territory is dwindeling. My friend got stung by one though he said it hurt like hell.

The ants we have here are very small and black. They don't bite.
